For Keeps Books is a Black-owned, woman-owned independent bookstore and reading room located in Atlanta’s historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Founded by Rosa Duffy in 2018, the shop is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black literary culture through a curated collection of rare, classic, and contemporary works by Black authors.


The store offers a unique experience, featuring a permanent in-store library with rare and out-of-print titles that visitors can read on-site, fostering a deep connection with Black literature and history. The welcoming space also showcases vintage periodicals, ephemera, and art, creating an immersive environment that honors the richness of Black intellectual and cultural contributions.
