Founded by partners Jannah Handy and Kiyanna Stewart in 2014, BLK MKT Vintage is a Black-, woman-, and LGBTQ-owned vintage concept shop based in Brooklyn, New York. The shop curates and sells archival literature, vinyl records, art, decor, textiles, and collectibles that reflect the richness and complexity of Black cultural memory.
Guided by the West African principle of Sankofa—to “go back and get it”—BLK MKT Vintage champions the preservation of Black history through everyday objects and printed materials. Their offerings serve not only as decor but as living documentation of Black life in America.
Beyond their online store, BLK MKT Vintage also provides styling and consulting services, prop rentals, exhibition loans, and set design. Their work has been featured by HBO, Vogue, Architectural Digest, and the Brooklyn Museum, among others.
