Black Girls RUN! is a national nonprofit organization empowering Black women to prioritize health and fitness through running, community support, and wellness programs.

Black Girls RUN! (BGR!) is a national organization founded in 2009 by Toni Carey and Ashley Hicks-Rocha to combat the obesity epidemic among African-American women and to encourage healthy living through running.


With over 75 chapters across 33 states and Washington, D.C., BGR! provides a supportive community for Black women to engage in physical activity. The organization offers programs like BGR! University, Walk B4U Run, and hosts events such as the Sweat With Your Sole National Conference to promote fitness and wellness.
